Behavior Consequences-
1st Offense-
Behavior Alert Sent Home
Warnings 1. The student will have 1 chance to correct their
behavior. Ms. Adler will let the student know why they are being given a warning. Ms. Adler will move the student to a private area in the room until the student agrees to follow classroom rules. A behavior alert letter will be sent home to be signed by the parent and student and returned the next day. The student will do a writing assignment next art class versus doing art work.
2nd Offense-
Behavior Alert Sent Home/Phone Call Home to Parents/Writing Assignment Next Class
Warning 1. The student will have 1 chance to correct their
behavior. Ms. Adler will let the student know why they are being given a warning. Ms. Adler will move the student to a private area in the room until the student agrees to follow classroom rules. A behavior alert letter will be sent home to be signed by the parent and student and returned the next day . Ms. Adler will call home to speak to parents about the student's behavior. The student will do a writing assignment next art class versus doing art work.
3rd Offense-
Behavior Alert Sent Home/Meeting Scheduled With Parent And Student To Discuss Behavior Problems
Warning 1. The student will have 1 chance to correct their behavior. Ms. Adler will let the student know why they are being given a warning. Ms. Adler will move the student to a private area in the room until the student agrees to follow classroom rules. A behavior alert will be sent home to be signed by parent and student and returned the following day. A meeting will be scheduled with parents, student, and teacher. The misbehavior will be discussed along with classroom rules and expectations. A plan will be put into place to address the behavior issues. The student's behavior will be monitored for improvement.
4th Offense-Behavior Improvement Plan
Warning 1. The student will have 1 chance to correct their behavior. Ms. Adler will let the student know why they are being given a warning. Ms. Adler will move the student to a private area in the room until the student agrees to follow classroom rules. If the behavior continues to be an issue, a second meeting will be scheduled with parents, student, and teacher. The misbehavior will be discussed along with classroom rules and expectations. The behavior improvement plan will be discussed. A daily behavior improvement checklist will be issued for the student during each class. The student's behavior will be monitored closely. Follow up meetings will be scheduled.
