Frequenty Asked Questions
Here is a list of frequently asked questions about my business. If you have any questions that are not listed, please feel free to contact me by email or phone and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Why does it take 2-3 weeks before I can view my session?
The 2-3 weeks allows me time to edit your session with photoshop and lightroom to make your pictures extra beautiful. You will definitely want your photos edited so that they look the best they can be. Photoshop and Lightroom can truly make the difference to make your pictures extra bright and bold. I will post a sneak peak 1 week after your session with your signed permission.
What happens if the weather does not permit during my session?
If the weather does not cooperate we will reschedule your session for another day and time. I typically shoot all of my sessions outdoors with the exception of newborn shoots.
Can I order more prints than what is offered in my package deal?
I am currently only offering prints of what is in your package session. I also sell art, baby apparel, and nursery wall decals so I have a lot on my plate. I am considering offering extra prints in the future. However, you do get to keep the rest of your pictures stored online to print at your discretion any time you want.
Can I choose a special location of my choice for my photo session?
Yes. If you have a certain location in mind we can definitely go to that location. If you do not have a location in mind I will choose one for you. There are a lot of great outside locations to shoot at. We can discuss this before you book your session.
How many clothing changes are allowed during a session?
I currently only offer clothing changes for senior pictures. Seniors can have 3-4 clothing changes during their session. I may change this for particular package sesssions in the future.
I have ideas for session poses that I have seen online....Can you imitate these particular poses/settings?
I am very open to imitating previous poses you may have seen on pinterest or online but, I do ask that you give me some creative freedom during your personal session. Sometimes the best pictures are caught in the moment and can be difficult to replicate. I always strive to give a little bit of both lifestyle photography and posed pictures in every session I shoot. Please let me know what it is you are looking for in your session before you make your payment.
How will I view my session?
All sessions will be viewed online. This makes it easier for everyone. You will have the option to view your session in a slideshow setting and/or individually. Take as much time as you need to pick out the pictures you would like for your package. When you have decided on which photos you would like, you may email me your package print order and I will submit it. Once your order is received, you may come by my studio and pick up your prints or have them mailed directly to you.
When is the best time to schedule newborn sessions?
Newborn sessions should all be scheduled 1-2 weeks after your new bundle of joy is born. Please contact me in advance to reserve your session. As a reminder, I schedule all sessions a month in advance. I know it can be hard to determine your exact due date. Just contact me in advance before your predicted due date to give me the heads up. This way I can block out a time for you.
